I was poking around my hard drive around 3:30 this morning looking for lost content that I might be able to put up, you know . . . failed and abandoned projects from years past, when I came across an early fan fic project I had been working on. I started and abandoned it long before Karl ever asked me to work on binomehangout. It was a time in which I was just getting back into Reboot and all I had was the vague memories of the show back when it was on ABC mixed with what ever info I could scrape from the internet.

But I suppose the story started even before that. The fan fic was a continuation of my ongoing series about a character based on myself and I suppose that if you were to attempt to understand this fan fic you would have to go through and read my previous works. The only problem is that that a reoccurring theme in all my projects is that I never finish them. So I have a series of stories, most of them unfinished, that are all supposed to take place chronologically in the order that I started them except one which was a prequel. This was mainly due to the fact that I would get new story ideas and start working on them while I was still working on whatever I happened to be working on.

Anyway, after a few more hours of searching think I was able to gather up all of the stories. I warn you. These are the product of a bored teenager with horrible writing skills.

The first fic in the series “The Lost Mobians” is actually the fourth one I wrote. The first three had Robotnik as the villain and sometimes I would bring in Sonic for good measure. But these characters were just sort of there. So I figured I’d write a fic to explain why they were there.

The first one I ever wrote, “Time Flies” is the second in the sereies and is most probably the worst. I think it’s probably closer to an outline. It was almost as if I was telling somebody about stuff I did over summer break rather than writing a story, and I’m a little embarrassed to subject you to it. Now that I think about it . . . I think I rewrote it at some point to make it much better . . . but I can’t find that version.

“Time Flies 2” was, story wise, was more of the same, but written, I think, much better. Events were described with a little bit more detail and characters actually had some sort of conversation. I think I must have rewritten this one several times over the past few years.

The next installment in the series titled “The Death Egg Flies again”, in its current version is vastly different from its original version titled “The Time Twisters” There are a few reasons for this. The biggest being that again it was more of the same stuff from the previous 2 with some “Mario’s time machine” mixed in for good measure. We had to return artifacts to the correct times. In fact the only elements from the original story that remain are the presence of the two Time Twisters and the death egg. Now it’s just basically a rip of Sonic 3 and Knuckles, which I guess really isn’t much better. On the plus side you get a space battle with a flying DeLorean. Well, I think it’s cool anyway.

The Next fic is the first of my unfinished works. Titled “UFO Invasion” it was inspired by the, at the time, new Lego UFO sets. What happened here is basically I had spend a few hours writing all this great stuff about a battle between the aliens and the Time Cruisers and I think even the Men in Black, and it took place on the Las Vegas strip. And then my computer crashed and I lost everything past “Tell the rest of the Time Cruisers that we’re going to Vegas.” And I just gave up. P.S. I just read through it. I think I must have been high on crack or something when I wrote this.

After three years of writing nothing, I had some weird idea to write about pokemon. So the next fic titled “Pokemon Island” had me going to some island to find a portal to the pokemon world. I actually have two versions of this and I’m not sure which one is the rewrite so I’ll be posting both. But like the previous fic, I never came close to finishing it.

Finally after all that I began writing the reboot fics. I had this strange idea that they should be episodic. I knew about how season 3 ended and I knew that there was going to be a season 4 so the idea was that the fics would be season 5 where everything had gone back to they way things were in seasons 1 and 2. I think I stopped writing these when Cartoon network began airing the show in the 6 am time slot just before season 4 came out and I began to realize just how far off the mark I was. I figured it was nothing that a rewrite couldn’t fix and that I’d resume work on them after I saw how season 4 turned out. And then they ended it with such a terrible cliff hanger that I couldn’t even begin to fathom how I could make it work.

After that I wrote a short story for Halloween titled “Witch Time” where a lab accident sends me back in time to the 17th century and the villagers think I’m a witch.

My final attempt at a story in this multi-verse has no official title but we’ll just call it “Captain N” It was to be a grand adventure to save the entire multi-verse from Motherbrain. The idea was that Kevin Keene had been ejected from Videoland by Motherbrain years ago and all warp zones leading to Videoland had been sealed off.

I have since started working on a new multi-verse which I hope will be far better than the crap I tried to pass off as decent in the old one. The focus will still be on my own self inserted character but now I’ll be dimension hopping using a device powered by a synthetic chaos emerald made by Tails. Dr. Wiley will be the main villain . . . I think . . . I’m still retooling it.
